1. Do you like the floor plan?
2. Will this home be easy for resale when you want to move?
3. What do you need to do to make it right for you?
4. Check the windows if they open.
5. Check the basement to see if they have had water.
6. Check the floor trusses to see how far apart they are and if insulated on the foundation.
7. Check the roof to see if the shingles are curling or missing.
8. Does the house smell? Water damage, pet or smoking. What will it take to correct it?
9. If appliances are included do they work?
10. Check the burners, ice maker, inside of the dishwasher, the oven. Do they all work?
11. Check the water pressure
12. Flush the toilets, turn on the water.
13. Do the doors close properly.
14. Does the carpet need to be replaced for you? What is under that throw rug?
15. Where are the lot lines?
16. Home inspection on the home you like is always money well spent… He will check the furnace, hot water heater, rafters, insulation, etc.
17. If in an association are there fees? Restrictions?
18. What are the taxes?
19. How far to the city?
20. City or Rural Utilities=Water & Electric.
21. Septic tank or sewer?
22. Any special assessments that need to be paid or coming up? |
