• Consult an Attorney on how to take title and have him do your title opinion on the property.
• Set up a Home inspection if needed.
• Make a final walk through BEFORE the Closing to make sure there are no surprises and everything is done as you requested and working properly.
• Go over all the closing papers to make sure everything is in order.
• Check the deed to make sure the legal is correct and how you are taking title is the way you want it.
• Select an Insurance Company to contact and purchase insurance on your property. (Flood if applicable).
• Check to make sure you know all your closing costs before closing.
• Change all the utilities into your name.
• Contact the post office and give them your new name and address.
